Raised in a military family, Alicia bounced between coasts before studying English at the University of California, Berkeley and earning a Master of Divinity at the University of Chicago. She has worked as a Japan Exchange and Teaching Program teacher, Cultural Affairs Assistant for the Japanese Consulate in Houston, hospital chaplain, and freelance editor. She first became acquainted with Anderson Ranch when her children participated in summer workshops and art outreach programs in the local community. Impressed with the rigor of instruction and state-of-the-art technology on campus, she aspires to invite others into creative collaboration here at the Ranch.
